Multimedia Resources Organizer

This productivity web app is meant to help anyone who is doing a project that uses multiple online multimedia resources shortlisted from the Web. Try adding media assets, code snippets and text notes and review them all in one app and then jot down related information such as attribution details or to do tasks as a caption or sidenote. You may also customize the appearance of your notes with CSS inline styles and HTML tags.

Any data entered in this app is stored in your browser's local storage and indexed DB. This means your data is not sent to a remote computer and you must set your browser to remember history if you wish to retrieve back the data after you close the browser. This also means you cannot use this app in 'Private Browsing' or 'Incognito' modes as your browsing history will not be remembered.

Add image resource

Add an image URL

Right click on the online image and look for an option that is similar to 'Copy image link' or 'Copy image address', then paste that link into the input box below.

Use this form to add an image file from your computer. You should only add image formats that are known to be compatible with HTML5, mainly .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, etc.

Add video resource

How to get the correct iFrame URL?

  • In Chrome or Firefox, right click on the online video and look for an option under the context menu that is similar to 'View frame source' or 'Show this frame only'. Copy the URL in your browser beginning from https:// till the end and paste it in the 'Video iframe url link' input below.
  • For YouTube videos, go to the Share tab and use the URL from the iframe src under the Embed button. You may also right click on the YouTube video and choose 'Copy embed code' but DO NOT use the whole code snippet in the input below. Just the src URL should be entered.
  • If the frame option is not shown in the right-click context menu, try to get an alternative URL that loads the video player by itself. For example, some online videos also publish an alternative URL that ends with a file extension (e.g. .mp4, .webm, etc) which may also work in the 'Video iframe url link' input below.
  • You may certainly also try the other 'Screenshot' or 'Video file' options by clicking on the radio buttons above.

This option allows you to add a screenshot image file of the webpage where the video is. The image will be added to the carousel above and then perhaps you might also want to add a hyperlink to the webpage as the caption or sidenote.
